Dr. Afsana Hossain is serving as a Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology , Faculty of Agriculture at Gazipur Agricultural University, Gazipur, Bangladesh. She completed her PhD in Plant Pathology from Zhejiang University, China, in June 2020. She completed her Master of Science in Plant Pathology in 2008 and her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (honours) in 2004 from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Bangladesh. She passed her Higher Secondary School Certificate in 2000 and her Secondary School Certificate in 1998 from the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Comilla, Bangladesh. Her research focuses on topics related to plant pathology, postharvest disease management, biocontrol of plant pathogens, and the application of green synthesized nanoparticles in agriculture.
