Welcome to my academic profile. I am currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Gazipur Agricultural University. With over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership, I am committed to advancing knowledge in biochemistry, molecular biology, and interdisciplinary life sciences.
I have been honored with prestigious awards, including the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship (Kyushu University) and the MEXT PhD Scholarship (University of the Ryukyus) in Japan, which have significantly strengthened my global research collaborations. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and MS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology degrees from Bangladesh Agricultural University, where I developed a strong academic foundation in biological sciences. My academic excellence was recognized with the Professor Karim Memorial Award for securing first position in my Master’s program.
My research focuses on molecular biology, reproductive neuroendocrinology, neurotoxicology, and biochemical mechanisms in aquatic organisms. I have extensive expertise in advanced laboratory techniques, including PCR, RT-qPCR, gene expression analysis, proteomics, ELISA, and western blotting. My work also encompasses peptide design and characterization, cell culture, histology, and animal-based experimental studies related to neurotransmitters and reproductive biology.
I have participated in international scientific conferences, including the Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting in the USA (2024) and the Japanese Society of Fisheries Science conference in Tokyo (2023). My research explores the neurotoxic effects of environmental chemicals and the protective roles of compounds such as melatonin.
