Biography:
Keya Rani Das is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Statistics, Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU), Gazipur, Bangladesh. Before the Associate Professor she worked as an Assistant Professor and Lecturer at this university, and is currently on study leave while pursuing a Doctor of Public Health in Biostatistics at the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Environmental Health Sciences (BEES), Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health, Georgia Southern University, USA. She also worked as a Lecturer in the Gono Bishwabidyalay (University), Savar, Dhaka. She has served as an executive member of the Gazipur Agricultural University’s Teachers’ Association for two consecutive years. She served as head of the department of Statistics, from 8th March, 2022 to 7th March, 2024 at this university. She was Assistant Provost (Cultural Affairs) and House Tutor in the students hall at this University. She has completed her B.Sc major in Statistics and M.Sc in Statistics from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. She has thirty one national and international publications with high indexing research articles to her credit. Her academic excellence has been recognized through multiple competitive awards, including the Graduate Research Advancement Fund (GRAF, $4265) from Georgia Southern University (2026), GA, USA and the GATA Level Student Engagement Award (Fall 2025) from the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health, Georgia Southern University, GA, USA. Keya was awarded Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of Rajshahi, Bangladesh Scholarship Council and Nippon Foundation Scholarship, Japan. She teaches eleven courses on Statistics in the Undergraduate and the Graduate level students in the last thirteen years. She is a Member of the International Biometric Society (IBS), Eastern North American Region (ENAR), (2026-Present); Bangladesh Association for the Advancement of Science; and Ecological Society of Bangladesh.
