Md. Ashraful Alam is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Soil Science, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur 1706, Bangladesh. He was born in Boldi, Gafargaon under Myemnsingh district of Dhaka division in Bangladesh. He completed his secondary education from Mukhi Polli Sabak High School, Gafargaon, Mymensigh in 2009 and Higher Secondary education from Agricultural University College, Mymensingh in 2011. He obtained his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Agriculture\u00a0 and Master of Science (MS) in Soil Science in 2015 and 2017 respectively from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur 1706, Bangladesh. He awarded National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship under Ministry of Science of Technology, GoB, Bangladesh during 2016-17 for Masters (MS) research. He joined as a ‘Lecturer’, in the Department of Soil Science, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) on December 7, 2020 and promoted to ‘Assistant Professor’ on 28 January, 2023. Earlier Mr. Alam worked in the Soil Science Division, Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA), Mymensingh as a ‘Scientific Officer’\u00a0 from 22 January to 6 December 2020. His research focus on Soil-plant interactions, C and N cycling, irrigation and fertilizer management, climate change and GHG emission, heavy metals in soil and water, soil health and nutrition,\u00a0 soil constraints and crop physiology, <\/strong>crop modelling, <\/strong>GIS and Remote Sensing.<\/h4>\n
