Dr. Aslam Ali, son of Sher Ali and Jahara Begum, was born in Kushtia, Bangladesh on 04 January 1982. He passed the SSC Examination in 1998 from Bheramara Pilot High School, and HSC in 2000 from Bheramara College, Kushtia. He completed Bachelor of Science in Food Engineering in 2006, and Master of Science in Food Engineering in 2008 from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh.
After graduation Dr. Ali joined as a Lecturer at the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), Dinajpur on 19 July 2009. During serving in HSTU Dr. Ali achieved the VLIR-UOS Scholarship 2010 to study Master of Science in Food Technology program for 2 years in University of Gent and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium, and achieved the degree in 2012. After the graduation from Belgium Dr. Ali joined in HSTU. Dr. Ali switched his position from HSTU to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Agro-Processing on 20 November 2013.
Dr. Ali also achieved the CSC Scholarship 2015 for Doctoral Study in Food Science at Northeast Agricultural University, Harbin, China for 4 years. He was awarded the Doctor of Engineering (Food Science) degree in 2019. He was upgraded to a Professor at the Department of Agro-Processing, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur on 20 November 2022. At present Dr. Ali is serving as a Professor at the Department of Food Engineering under the Faculty of Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering, Gazipur Agricultural University, Gazipur since 13 February 2025.
