Message from the Head

The Department of Crop Botany is a cornerstone of the university, with a rich history that dates back to its foundational years. It has played a key role in shaping the academic and research landscape in the field of botany. The department offers an extensive curriculum and research opportunities in diverse areas of plant sciences, including Plant Physiology, Plant Ecology, Plant Stress Biology, Plant Oxidative Stress, Plant Anatomy, Ecophysiology, Plant Nutrition, Plant Growth Regulators, Embryology, and Systematic Botany.

The department’s academic offerings cater to both undergraduate and graduate students, providing a comprehensive educational experience in crop botany. With state-of-the-art facilities, students and researchers are equipped with the resources needed for cutting-edge research.

The department’s faculty includes three Professors, one Associate Professor, and three Assistant Professors, all contributing to a vibrant academic and research community. They are supported by a dedicated team of three staff members who help maintain the smooth operation of the department.
