Training and Capacity-Building Activities \u2013 2026<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Under the supervision of the Dr.<\/strong> Kazi M. Badruddoza Outreach Center<\/strong>, Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU)<\/strong> organized a series of impactful extension programs in 2026 to disseminate the university\u2019s innovative agricultural technologies nationwide. As part of this initiative, four farmer training programs<\/strong> were successfully conducted.<\/p>\n

Farmers from Kaultia, Marta, Salna, Joydebpur, Chowrasta, Pirojali,<\/strong> and Tok<\/strong> villages of Kapasia Upazila, Gazipur<\/strong>, actively participated in the training sessions. Experienced faculty members from various departments of GAU shared practical knowledge on modern crop production, pest management, and sustainable livestock rearing techniques<\/strong>. The training focused on enhancing farmers\u2019 capacity to adopt climate-smart and resource-efficient agricultural practices.<\/p>\n

These outreach and capacity-building initiatives directly contribute to the realization of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>\u2014particularly SDG 2 (Zero Hunger)<\/strong>, SDG 4 (Quality Education)<\/strong>, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)<\/strong>. Through these activities, GAU reaffirms its commitment to agricultural innovation, farmer empowerment, and sustainable rural transformation<\/strong> for a resilient and food-secure Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

Farmer Consultation and Input Support \u2013 2025<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

On the occasion of National Livestock Week 2025 organized by Dr. Kazi M. Badruddoza Outreach Center<\/strong> of Gazipur Agricultural University, free veterinary treatment of cattle and birds and various preventive vaccines and various medicines were distributed among poor farmers in Kaultia Union of Gazipur throughout the day. At the event, expert veterinarians and intern students of the University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital visited the cattle and birds and various home farms on a team basis and diagnosed the cattle and birds, provided medical advice, dewormed, vitamins and other medicines, and vaccinated them.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Dr. Kazi M. Badruddoza Outreach Center<\/strong> has provided free treatment and vaccinations for livestock and poultry, as well as distributed medicines to help poor farmers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
