Gazipur Agricultural University Library at a Glance<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

There is a separate building for Library having 14,418 squire feet spaces. The Library is an important organ in support and development of high quality teaching, research and outreach programs. The university library is a comprehensive and current collection of local and foreign books and journals related to agricultural and social sciences. The library includes about twenty five thousand books and is under expansion through a regular acquisition program. It is accessible to students, teachers, officers, staffs and other personnel associated with the university. The transactions of books, Internet facilities, e-journals, e-books, Thesis, CD-ROM service & photocopy service and are available in the library. An audiovisual room with modern equipment’s is attached to the library building, which is used for holding seminar, conference, workshops and thesis defense. Except on Govt. holidays, library opens at 9:00 AM and closes at 8:00 PM without any interval through Sunday to Thursday and on Saturday Library opens at 9:00 AM and closes at 5:00 PM, Friday is weekly holiday.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Library’s mission is to provide comprehensive resources and services in support of the research, teaching and learning needs of the University community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Build up a world-class Knowledge Resource Centre and provide innovative services and collections to the research, teaching and learning communities by using latest technology.<\/span><\/p>\n

Internet<\/strong> Services<\/strong>: Internet services are available from 28th<\/sup> April, 2009 for students, teachers and researchers at GAU Library.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wi-Fi<\/strong> :\u00a0 Service are available at GAU Library.<\/span><\/p>\n

Photocopy service<\/strong>: Photocopy services are being given for students and teachers for library materials only with a photocopier machine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Carrier Development Corner<\/strong><\/a> : Officially inauguration 01 April,2019 for GAU Students. at GAU Library.<\/span><\/p>\n

Library Automation : Integrated Library System (ILS). is an enterprise resources planning system for a library. used to track items owned, orders made, bills paid and patrons. GAU Library use KOHA software. Officially inauguration 01 st April,2019 for GAU Students & Teachers at GAU Library.<\/span><\/p>\n
