International Collaboration
Prof. Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman has led and contributed to numerous high-impact research initiatives as a Country Lead, Focal Point and Principal Investigator, supported by international funding agencies.
- Rahman served as the Focal Point for the USAID-funded Feed the Future Bangladesh Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) Activity Project (2024)
- He was the Country Lead for the prestigious UKRI GCRF South Asian Nitrogen Hub (SANH) in Bangladesh (2019–2024).
- Rahman also played a key leadership role as the Lead Scientist for the Towards INMS Project – South Asia Demonstration in Bangladesh.
- Rahman was appointed as a National Consultant (National Soil Doctor Trainer) by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, under the project titled Sustainable Soil Management for Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia in 2021.
- His international engagement extends further as an esteemed member of the Climate Working Group of the International Nitrogen Network (iN-Net), funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation.
- He served as a team member of ‘Low-cost and Innovative Techniques for Recycling of Organic Wastes’ under the Networking Grants Scheme funded by the Academy of Medical Science during 2024-2025.
- In addition, Prof. Rahman maintains strong international research collaborations with the University of Edinburgh and the University of Aberdeen in the UK, reinforcing his commitment to advancing climate-resilient and sustainable soil management solutions globally.
