BRIEF BIOGRAPHY:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Md. Morshedur Rahman<\/strong> is a Professor in the Department of Dairy and Poultry Science, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, Gazipur Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He is an animal and dairy science academic with extensive experience in dairy microbiology, fermented dairy products, food safety, probiotic research, climate-resilient livestock production, and methane-emission-related livestock studies.
\nDr. Rahman completed his Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry and MS in Dairy Science from Bangladesh Agricultural University. He later obtained his PhD in Bioresources and Product Science from Hokkaido University, Japan. He further strengthened his international research experience through postdoctoral fellowships at Kagoshima University, Japan; the University of Alberta, Canada; and Hokkaido University, Japan.
\nHis research career has focused on the improvement of dairy and livestock production systems through microbial biotechnology, functional foods, probiotic starter cultures, milk quality assessment, heat-stress evaluation, and sustainable feed-resource development. As Principal Investigator, he has led several nationally funded research projects, including studies on buffalo milk curd as a source of probiotic starter cultures, climate-change impacts on livestock and poultry with emphasis on heat stress and enteric methane emission, ICP-MS-based analysis of milk and dairy products, and microbial approaches for improving the nutritional value of crop residues.
\nDr. Rahman has also contributed to ongoing research on GABA-producing probiotic lactic acid bacteria for bio-functional fermented milk and mobile milk-testing systems for assessing raw milk quality in char areas of Bangladesh. His work reflects a strong applied research orientation, linking laboratory-based microbiology and food-safety analysis with practical solutions for livestock farmers, dairy processors, and consumers.
\nHe has published 62 research articles, including 53 publications in Scopus-indexed journals, with more than 600 Scopus citations. His publication record includes work on probiotic dairy innovations, buffalo milk curd microbiota, heat stress in dairy cattle, milk quality and safety, antimicrobial resistance, functional dairy products, probiotic-treated rice straw, methane emission, lactoferrin\u2013bifidobacteria interactions, and traditional dairy products of Bangladesh.
\nOverall, Dr. Rahman\u2019s academic profile integrates dairy science, poultry science, food microbiology, probiotic biotechnology, climate-smart livestock research, and sustainable animal production. Through teaching, research leadership, project implementation, and publication, he has contributed to the development of safe, functional, and climate-resilient livestock and dairy production systems in Bangladesh.<\/p>\n
