Dr. Rahman is a Professor at Garipur Agricultural University (GAU) (Formerly Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University). Over the years of experience, he possesses extensive knowledge in Agricultural Engineering and Food Engineering. Before joining GAU, he held positions as a Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor in the Department of Food Engineering and Tea Technology at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet. Dr. Rahman earned his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering and Master of Science in Farm Power and Machinery from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. In 2014, he was awarded the Monbukagakusho Scholarship to pursue his Doctor of Philosophy in the field of autonomous farming vehicles at the Graduate School of Agriculture, Hokkaido University, Japan. He also obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Tea Management from Bangladesh Tea Research Institute, Srimangal. He is a life member of the Engineering Institute of Bangladesh (IEB) and the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB). Dr. Rahman firmly believes that smart agricultural practices are essential for establishing sustainable farming systems that prioritize higher production and increased crop intensity for food security. As a result, he is enthusiastic about integrating various types of sensors into automatic agricultural practices on the farm.<\/p>\n
