Partnership<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Counterpart Scientist \u2013 JIRCAS Pest and Disease Control Project<\/strong><br \/>\nI served as the Counterpart Scientist in a Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS)-supported research project titled <em>\u201cInvestigation of pathogenic variation of Asian soybean rust pathogen and development of resistant soybean varieties in Bangladesh.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Phase I<\/strong>: Implemented from 2015 to 2018.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Phase II<\/strong>: Continued from 2018 to 2021.<br \/>\nThis project was a part of JIRCAS&#8217;s Pest and Disease Control Project, focusing on identifying pathogen variation and enhancing soybean resistance to Asian soybean rust.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Focal Contact \u2013 JICA Grassroots Cooperation Project<\/strong><br \/>\nI acted as the Focal Contact at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University for the JICA grassroots cooperation project titled <em>\u201cSupport to establish a new society of BOP farmers by using the power of ICT\u201d<\/em> (January 2014\u2013December 2016).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Collaborating Partners<\/strong>: Kyushu University, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, Grameen Communications, and WIN Incorporate.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective<\/strong>: To develop and implement the <em>\u201cICT-based Farming &amp; Marketing Support Platform (iFarM)\u201d<\/em> aimed at building a farmer-focused society and connecting producers with consumers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Key Outcomes<\/strong>: Branding vegetables, introducing product delivery mechanisms, and benefiting 600 farmer families across four districts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deputy Sub-Project Manager -World Bank-funded HEQEP Project<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>\u201cEstablishment of Plant Disease Diagnostic Clinic<\/em><\/strong><em>,\u201d<\/em> (2012\u20132015).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Key Deliverable<\/strong>: Establishing a state-of-the-art diagnostic clinic to identify and address plant diseases
