COUNTRIES OF WORK EXPERIENCE Research (Bangladesh): <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Actively involved in the research team works for vegetable variety development, Vegetable Production & fruit \u00a0production from 1985 to January, 1995. From 18 January, 1995 to 2009 I worked in the plant physiology section of the horticulture Research Centre, Bangladesh Agricultural Research institute, Gazipur except 2002 year. I also served as a Principal Scientific Officer and Station Incharge of Horticulture nResearch Sub-Station , Shibpur narsingdi from 2009 to 2012.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Research (Taiwan):<\/strong><\/p>\n

I <\/strong>had a scope to work in the plant physiology laboratory of the Asian Vegetable Research and Development Centre, Tainan, Taiwan starting from January, 2000 to 31 May, 2000. I worked on Physiology of heat tolerance and seed production in sweet pepper <\/strong>(Capsicum annuum <\/em>L ) under the direct supervision of Dr. C. G. Kuo, plant physiologiest of AVRDC, Taiwan (Certificate enclosed).<\/p>\n

Participation in Technology Development and Transfer Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n

A good number of vegetables and spices varieties were developed and released\/registered for cultivation throughout the country and I was one of the team members of scientists implicated in developing those varieties and are displayed below:<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0 BARI Tomato-4 and BARI tomato-5<\/p>\n

Going to be adopted by the progressive farmers<\/td>\nThe only released summer tomato varieties are the break through in the country.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
4) 2)\u00a0 BARI-Lau-1<\/td>\nBearing high yielding variety, it is accepted by the grower<\/td>\nCommercial cultivation is exploited<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
5) BARI Jhar Seem-1 (Bush Bean)<\/td>\nThis short durated legume vegetable is getting popularity in the Chittagong region .<\/td>\nSince the\u00a0 crop is short durated it is suitably be fitted in the existing cropping pattern.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
6) BARI Motor Shuti-1<\/td>\n\u00a0It is an open pollinated variety and the growers are interested to cultivate this variety\u00a0 instead of the field pea<\/td>\nExtension activities are strengthened<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
7) Suktara and Tarapuri varieties of bringal<\/td>\nThe F1<\/sub> varieties are not too much popularized like Uttara variety<\/td>\nTarapuri has got the future to be popularised<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
8) Padma a watermelon variety<\/td>\nThe variety is not exploited to the grower<\/td>\nExtension work and seed production programme are strengthened<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
9) BARI Piaj-1<\/td>\nNot much accepted by the grower<\/td>\nNeed to be purified<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
10) BARI Seem-2<\/td>\nIt has got popularity<\/td>\n <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
11) BARI Motor Shuti-2<\/td>\nAdoption rate by the grower is hopeful<\/td>\n\u00a0It is a new vegetable in Bangladesh<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
