My research integrates molecular entomology with sustainable crop protection, with a focus on insect pests and their associated viruses. I investigate insect–plant–virus interactions, vector biology, and the genetic diversity of insect populations to better understand the mechanisms of pest and pathogen transmission. Using molecular tools such as high-throughput sequencing, phylogenetics, and diagnostics, I aim to advance innovative approaches for pest identification and management. My work contributes to developing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies that reduce pesticide dependence and promote sustainable agriculture and food security.
