BIOGRAPHY

Mansura Afroz is an enthusiastic researcher in the field of Entomology towards ecofriendly management of insect pests of crop. She has already worked on plant physio-morphic characteristics with reference to host plant resistance to insect infestation in sweet gourd. She intends to do intensive research on biotic stress tolerance in plants in response to insect infestation with underlying mechanisms and chemical signaling responsible to alter the attack. The significance of honey bee from crop pollination and honey production perspective interests her to carry some research studies on it as well. She started her career as a Lecturer in the department of Entomology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur, Bangladesh in 2020. Currently, she is serving as an Assistant Professor in the same department. She received B.S. (Bachelor of Science) in Agriculture and pursued M.S. (Master of Science) in Entomology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University. She was awarded the ‘Prime Minister Gold Medal 2018’ for her noteworthy result (obtained CGPA 4.0 out of 4.0 and ranked 1st out of 133 students) at undergraduate level.
