[18-03-2026] Dr. Mirza Mienur Meher Receives Prestigious Dean Award for Excellence in PhD Research at Yamaguchi University

Dr. Mirza Mienur Meher has been awarded the Dean Award (Graduate School of Medicine Encouragement Award) in recognition of his outstanding academic performance and research excellence during his PhD at Yamaguchi University Graduate School of Medicine.

The award ceremony took place on 16 March at Lecture Room 1, 1st floor of the Ishukan Building, where faculty members and students gathered to celebrate academic achievements and research contributions. The ceremony was presided by the dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health science of Yamaguchi University.

During his doctoral studies, Dr. Mirza Mienur Meher conducted significant research on the neurochemical characteristics and distribution of choline acetyltransferase (ChAT)-positive neurons and Huntingtin-associated protein-1 (HAP1) in the mouse forebrain.
