• Dr. Minhaz Ahmed is a Professor in the Department of Agroforestry and Environment under the Faculty of Forestry and Environment at Gazipur Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He is a dedicated academic, researcher, and mentor with extensive experience in teaching, research supervision, and academic administration in the field of agroforestry and environmental science. He completed his PhD from Kyushu University, Japan, in 2019, where he gained advanced expertise in environmental sustainability, agroecological systems, and resource conservation. He obtained his MS in Agroforestry and Environment in 2011 and his BS in Agriculture in 2008 from Gazipur Agricultural University.

    Dr. Ahmed has been serving as a Professor since 2023. Before this, he worked as an Associate Professor from 2019 to 2023, Assistant Professor from 2013 to 2019, and Lecturer from 2011 to 2013 at the same university. Throughout his academic career, he has played an important role in curriculum development, student mentoring, departmental administration, and strengthening research capacity within the faculty. As a major supervisor and member of postgraduate research committees, Dr. Ahmed has successfully supervised 25 postgraduate students, guiding them in thesis development, experimental design, data analysis, and scientific publication. His mentorship has contributed significantly to the development of young researchers and professionals in the field of forestry, agriculture, and environmental sciences.

    In addition to his academic and research contributions, he is highly experienced in project management and team leadership. He has strong expertise in strategic planning, budget management, and the design and implementation of innovative research and development projects. His work particularly emphasizes sustainable land-use systems, environmental risk assessment, and improving agricultural productivity while ensuring ecological balance and environmental protection.
