Dr. Amdadul Haque is a Professor of Food Science and Nutrition working at Department of Food Engineering, Gazipur Agricultural University. He is working in food components isolation/extraction, characterization and stabilization aiming at use them in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. The sole purpose of the research is utilization of natural resources for sustainable food and health safety. Professor Haque also works with local medicinal plants and seaweeds keeping the safe health as the key focus of study.
He has fifteen-year experience as an academic across Bangladesh and Australia. Previously, he was an academic (Lecturer) at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University. Mr. Haque worked as a Research Fellow at Deakin University, Australia. He obtained PhD from RMIT University, Australia securing Endeavour Postgraduate awards.
Extraction polyphenols and stabilization through microencapsulation using spray drier, extraction of plant-based polysaccharides, protein and pigments are key area of research. Up to date, he has published 45+ peer-reviewed journal papers.
