Welcome to the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU).

Founded in 2011, the department offers courses for the students of Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Ph.D. It is involved in different fundamental and basic research in the field of Information and Communication Technology for Agricultural Development.

Computing plays in tackling society’s most pressing issues including agriculture. Our discipline is fundamental in fighting disinformation, building fair artificial intelligence, and the internet of things in agricultural development. The department also has a profound impact beyond campus. The department initiated the first ever smart agricultural initiative, E-village, in Bangladesh.
