Assignments are provided to students on specific topics and may also include activities such as research visits and visits to commercial nurseries. In addition, students are required to prepare practical materials such as seed albums, herbarium specimens, landscaping and designing projects, as well as exercises in arboriculture, water garden and rock garden development, bonsai and ikebana preparation, and the collection of live samples of rare horticultural crops, as instructed by the course teacher. Students are encouraged to present their work in the classroom using PowerPoint presentations, and a hard copy of each assignment must be submitted for evaluation.
