Faculty Specialization :
My research focuses on sustainable farming systems to enhance global food security, with a primary emphasis on mycorrhiza, an ancient plant–fungal symbiosis that facilitates nutrient uptake and increases plant tolerance to drought, salinity, and soil toxicity. I examine the functional roles of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in improving crop performance and ecological resilience.
My other research interests include water quality, biodiversity, land use and land cover (LULC), turfgrass management, and ecosystem services.
