Tuition

Our university is highly subsidized by the Government of Bangladesh. International students are also entitled to these benefits. Student Tuition and other fees at BSMRAU are less than  any other university of our rank (#800-1000) in the world . Tuition fees at BSMRAU range from USD 150 to not-more-than USD 200 per year depending on the number of courses enrolled.

A number of scholarships are available to support students financially. Students from low income families are particularly encouraged to apply for the financial aid. Please explore our SCHOLARSHIPS page for more information.  

Accommodation

Student housing at BSMRAU is heavily subsidized by the Government of Bangladesh. International students are also entitled to these benefits. Our university is fully residential. this means all our students are housed within the campus. Residential facilities are available both for male and female students in separate dormitories for in-campus living.

There are a total of 4 dormitories for male and three dormitories for female students. Each of these halls are headed by Hall Provost and support staff to take care of student facilities. All our dorms are equipped with Free-WIFI and there are in-house dining space, cafeteria, separate prayer room, Gymnasium, and entertainment hub.

Accommodation cost per student is just under USD 70 per year. Students from low income families can access student-housing at affordable rates. Accommodation fee waivers are also provided to on-campus financially disadvantaged students. 

Food

Food is available in the residential halls, Cafeteria and Teachers Student Center (TSC) canteen of the university with a modest price of around USD 40-50 per month. The food served are mainly Asian curries although our international students can regularly have other choices.

Students from low income communities are particularly encouraged to dine in the residential hall-canteens to access reduced rate meals.

Medical

The university has a medical center where all students are provided with primary health care for free. Minor treatments services are also provided for free to all enrolled students. 

Transportation

The university has a dedicated transport pool with 35 vehicles and counting for students and staff related services. Students can access free transportation services provided at fixed times during the day and night for their commute to and from the campus.

Regular bus services can be accessed free of cost during  both weekdays and weekends if you want to go the nearby Gazipur City Centre or even to the capital city Dhaka. Support Services

  • Applicants can get services for the matters related to admission, accommodation, food, transport, medical insurance, tuition fees from the office of the Director (International Affairs) (diria@bsmrau.edu.bd)
  • Pick-up service from nearest Airport/Rail/Bus Station for newly arrived international students will be provided.
  • Limited numbers of merit scholarships are available based on academic results.
