Dr. Mohammad Shafiqul Alam has actively engaged in social and community development initiatives alongside his academic career. During his time in Japan, he contributed to community efforts that supported the establishment of a mosque in Higashihiroshima, Japan, reflecting his commitment to cultural and social integration. He also participated in various volunteer activities during his stay abroad.
In Bangladesh, he maintains a simple and straightforward lifestyle and continues to be involved in social and voluntary activities within the university and local community. He is currently serving as the Sports and Cultural Secretary of the Teachers’ Association of Gazipur Agricultural University.
Outside his academic and social engagements, he has a keen interest in sports and fitness. He regularly plays badminton and is an active long-distance runner. He has participated in approximately 20 half marathons and multiple 10K running events in Bangladesh.
